Dr.
Mason Todd Corder was a dedicated member of the Davis Health system
medical community from 1990 until 2007. Dr. Corder was well known to be
an “everyman” doctor, who cared deeply for his patients on both a
professional and personal level, and who was also passionate about
helping others enter the medical field.
The
Dr. Mason Todd Corder Memorial Scholarship Fund is available to
students who are pursuing a healthcare career. The scholarship is
awarded on an annual basis; preference will be given to applicants from
Randolph, Barbour, Tucker, Upshur or Pocahontas counties.

Through
the fund, donations of any amount will be received in the name of Dr.
Corder or another medical professional. When the contribution is
acknowledged through a letter or token, the name of the person being
honored or remembered will also be mentioned.

Ashley Nicole Champ from Belington, WV.
Ashley
graduated from Philip Barbour. She plans on attending Berea College in
Kentucky as a Pre-Med major and a Latin minor. After obtraining her
four year undergraduate degree she plans to attend WVU medical school
to become a cardio surgeon. It has always been a dream to truly be able
to fix a broken heart. She wants to further her career in another
country helping those less fortunate, then later returning to WV to
finish out her career.
She is the daughter of Donna Champ of Belington.

The Elkins Middle School
soccer team boys had a great time in a post-game hug with the coach
after their Second Annual Pink Out game against the girls. The game
raised more than $650 for the Davis House. Just makes you smile!
