Your Gifts at Work
Bringing Better Health to Life
Davis Health System Foundation is your partner in advancing healthcare through giving. Community support provides expert staff, state-of-the-art treatments, and cutting-edge technologies to the residents of North Central West Virginia – so that our neighbors, friends, and families can go beyond routine care without going far from home. The DHS Foundation supports programs and services of Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital/Mansfield Place, and Webster County Memorial Hospital.
DHS Foundation General Fund
Donations to the general fund may be made at any time and in any amount. Unless otherwise designated by the donor or the appeal, these donations support the areas of greatest need through annual grants to our Davis Health System Community Hospitals. Grants provide such things as
• New equipment for advanced patient care
• Direct patient assistance
• Educational programs for medical staff, clinicians, and administrative professionals
• Updates to facilities to provide quality healthcare to our communities
Patient Assistance Funds
The DMC Cancer Care Center Patient Assistance Fund, Guardian Angel General Patient Assistance Fund, and Noronha Benevolent Care Fund provide financial support to patients for medically necessary items and services that contribute directly to the overall health, wellness, and quality of life of the individual, including a Free Mammogram Program.
Free Mammogram Program
The free mammogram program is designed to meet the needs of women who do not have health insurance or whose health plan has an extremely high deductible. Learn more.
Gifts of Gratitude
At Davis Health System, quality care and compassion go hand in hand. Our patients often express gratitude for their care in a number of ways - through kind words, letters of thanks, smiles, and gifts of gratitude to the Guardian Angel General Patient Assistance Fund. Employees or volunteers recognized in this way receive a commemorative Guardian Angel lapel pin to acknowledge the gift made in their honor.
Transforming Care TogethER DMC Myles Emergency Center Fund
The DMC Myles Emergency Center provides private exam and treatment rooms, dedicated trauma bays, isolation rooms, state-of-the-art medical equipment, a family meditation and counseling room, and a comfortable waiting area for families and guests. Patients and visitors alike benefit from improvements in parking accessibility, entrances, patient registration, clinical triage, emergency services, and care transitions.
Davis House Fund
The Davis House offers cancer patients and their family members a “home away from home” when it is necessary to travel to the DMC Cancer Care Center for treatment. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows Davis House guests to focus on the most important thing: getting well.
DHSF Scholarship Fund
Inspired by Dr. Mason Todd Corder’s care for his patients and passion for helping others enter the medical field, the DHS Foundation Scholarship recognizes and supports students who are continuing their studies in a healthcare related field.
