Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we all learned the critical importance of safe, reliable ventilators to serve patients with acute respiratory distress.
The Philips Respironics V60/V60 Plus Ventilators used by Davis Medical Center and Broaddus Hospital have been recalled due to issues with the main electrical circuit powering the ventilator and alarm. This may result in the ventilator ceasing to operate, possibly without either a visual or audible alarm causing a “silent shutdown.” These issues can result in serious injury or death.
DMC faces the immediate need to purchase two new ventilators, and Broaddus needs to purchase one to continue to provide the best care to our patients. The Hamilton-C1 (or comparable model) is an effective noninvasive and all-in-one ventilator. It adapts effortlessly to a variety of care settings, such as the ICU, recovery room, or intermediate care. It serves both adult and pediatric patients and provides both noninvasive ventilation and integrated high flow oxygen therapy.
The Hamilton-C1 is currently available at a promotional price of $16,000 per unit. With the purchase of three units and a special trade-in offer on our older units, the units are available for approximately $11,000 each.
