Planned Giving

The DHS Foundation is a proud partner in the national Leave a Legacy campaign. This unique initiative inspires each of us to consider including charitable gifts as a part of our estate plan. These deferred, or planned, gifts will be distributed to the charity or charities of your choice sometime in the future.

Bequest - A Gift in Your Will
You may designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate to receive a certain dollar amount or to be the residuary or contingent beneficiary. Click here for sample bequest language that may be used in your will to leave a lasting contribution to the Davis Health System Foundation.

Life Insurance
You may donate an existing, paid-up policy or you may take out a new insurance policy naming the Foundation as owner and beneficiary.

Charitable Remainder Trusts
This option is for individuals who need to maximize their income but would still like to make a charitable gift with their assets. When you establish a charitable remainder trust with yourself or a financial institution serving as trustee, you receive an income tax deduction.

We encourage you to visit the Leave A Legacy web site to learn more about not only the importance of planned giving but how to achieve your charitable giving goals when planning your estate.
